Keck, Ph.D., vice president for student services; and Bob Reynolds, chief information officer, Kellogg Community College, wrote an article for Community College Times about how Colleague Retention Alert is helping them help their students. “At Kellogg Community College (KCC) in Michigan, we are building a more comprehensive picture of our students using technology. (In our case, we are using Colleague Retention Alert from Ellucian.) The solution pulls together myriad information such as grades, attendance, financial aid, advising case notes and progress reports into a single record. It then monitors a student’s record to alert us to early warning signs, such as excessive absences.”
